Zombie Cookies

Zombies seem to be everywhere these days. Could it be because Halloween is in a couple days? Possibly, but it seems as though zombies dominate all areas of media throughout the year. My husband’s favorite show is Walking Dead. All four of my kids love zombie video games. I happen to have love zombie movies. One of my favorite all time movies is I Am Legend and I really enjoyed the latest zombie big pic, World War Z. On my retail website (Country Kitchen SweetArt) “zombie” is currently one of the top search terms. These cute, not scary, zombie cookies are perfect for celebrating the undead! They are baked using cookie cutters from FRED. Order them here, then decorated with run sugar.

Halloween Dessert and Treats Party

Our basement was just recently finished, so we decided to have a fall party. Luckily the rainy weather cleared in time to give us a beautiful night for a cookout. We served hot dogs and chili, and then had lots of sweets!

Each family was given a goodie bag to take home. The bag consisted of more of the same treats that were on the dessert spread.

It’s a little morbid, but I turned my kids into Halloween characters using adobe photoshop and framed them in a gothic frame.

Skeleton Fondant-Covered Cake with Glitter Spiders

This cake was baked in a skeleton pantastic cake pan, and then covered in fondant. The cake board is fondant that has been textured with my texture mat from the floral set. The spiders are hand molded and glittered with disco dust. The chocolate¬†cookies are decorated with fondant. The lettering was created with the cake cricut. Complete instructions for this cake can be found on Country Kitchen’s Website.

Vampire Treats for Halloween

My assitant Theresa and I made several treats for a vampire-themed Halloween. I also gotta admit that I am a Twilight fan and am so looking forward to the last movie, part one of Breaking Dawn! I just may need to make some of these treats again for our girls night out at the movies! For instructions on these as well as many other Halloween treats, visit Country Kitchen SweetArt’s website.
